ABOUT EMPATHY COUNSELLING & PSYCHOTHERAPY

Empathy Counselling & Psychotherapy is located in Portlaoise town in a discrete location off Grattan Street, with on street parking.  Rooms are warm, comfortable and spacious.

Empathy was initially set up over 20 years ago as a private practice run by Siobhan Galvin.  It has now been developed to include a number of experienced,  accredited, pre-accredited psychotherapists as well as two senior student psychotherapists. 

Adult Psychotherapy

All our therapists work with Adult clients (18 years and over).  

The main approach is humanistic and integrative. In other words you are seen as a whole person who lives and integrates your experiences through your body, feelings, thoughts and unconscious mind.  The aim of the therapy is to help you to actively explore your experience and help you to live a more satisfying life, supporting you in taking responsibility for the changes you make to achieve this goal.
